Hi, I'm Caroline!
I created this space to offer clear, practical support for family caregivers who are navigating the realities of caring for a loved one—because this isn’t something I’ve only studied. It’s something I’ve lived.
My caregiving experience spans more than three decades and three distinct seasons of life.
In my twenties, I became a caregiver to my mother during a time when I was still learning how to be an adult myself. That experience taught me, early on, how quickly life can shift—and how love and fear can coexist in the same moment.
In my thirties, after my mother passed, I stepped into a different kind of caregiving role with my father—one rooted not in physical care, but emotional support. That season required a level of endurance, boundary-setting, and emotional awareness that shaped how I understand people, relationships, and resilience.
And over the past several years, I’ve been a caregiver to my husband as he manages diabetes and its complications. This chapter has required constant vigilance—monitoring health, managing care, navigating medical systems, and staying steady through long-term challenges that don’t resolve overnight.
Each of these experiences shaped me in a different way—but together, they created the foundation for how I show up today.
In addition to my personal experience, I bring a strong professional background to this work. I hold both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in psychology, a graduate certificate in healthcare management, and I’ve worked in the healthcare industry for over 30 years. This combination allows me to bridge lived experience with practical knowledge—offering guidance that is both compassionate and grounded.
Caregiving is one of the most meaningful roles a person can take on, but it can also be one of the most physically and emotionally demanding.
